Robert Gulick Named Executive Vice President of Global Operations for American Management Association

American Management Association (AMA), a world leader in professional development and performance-based learning solutions, has named Robert Gulick as Executive Vice President, Global Operations. In this newly created position, Gulick’s primary focus will be on AMA’s interests outside of the United States.

AMA maintains operations and interests in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan and China. Other organizations of AMA’s global network operate in Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Seoul.

Gulick joins AMA with more than 30 years of leadership experience. He has a proven track record of building and operating best-in-class service businesses in the professional education and publishing sectors around the globe. He has worked for leading organizations that include the National Association of Securities Dealers and Prentice-Hall (a Viacom company) where he was President of the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF). While leading the NYIF, he was able to grow the regional Wall Street instructor led business from $2 million to nearly $30 million globally by using a full range of blended media that included seminars, conferences, books and award winning web-based training.

Gulick’s education achievements include having earned an MBA from George Mason University and two engineering graduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Gulick also had a prestigious military career with the U.S. Coast Guard where he earned the rank of Commander and an undergraduate degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
